The behaviour of bubbles in a glass melt at constant temperature and pressure is controlled b the mass of transport f gases dissolved in the melt. A set of differential equations describing the change in size of a bubble and its ascension can be derived under the condition of simultaneous diffusion or counter diffusion of the gases into or out of the bubble. This part of the paper presents the derivation of equations, taking into account the diffusion of refining gas, carbon dioxide, water vapour and nitrogen. Both the simplified and, if possible, the integrated forms are presented
